If you are looking for a full bottom or top replacement solution for missing teeth, then a full set of dentures may be an excellent option for you. Dentures are attached to a gum-colored base, held in place with either suction or an adhesive, and can replace a whole arch of missing natural teeth.

While they are more cost-effective and less invasive than dental implants, full dentures require frequent, lifetime upkeep and maintenance. Because these dentures are completely removable and rest on your gums, they need to be frequently cleaned, just like your natural teeth. By cleaning your dentures regularly, you keep your gums healthy and your dentures looking as good as new.

To begin treatment, we will determine if full dentures are the best option for you. Factors such as oral hygiene, the location of the missing arches, bone strength, and long-term viability for dentures will all determine your treatment plan. Our team starts by taking several sets of dental impressions which will serve as the mold used to create your dentures. The size and shape of the teeth for your denture will be custom designed to ensure the final product provides you with a good fit and bite. Our job is to ensure the look, feel, and functionality of your dentures is naturally-looking and the best it can be.

Once these specifics are determined, the molds are sent to a dental lab which creates a mock-up pair of dentures for you. During a fitting appointment with our team, we will have you test out the mock-up to check how it fits, looks, and feels in your mouth. This is the time you and our team will make adjustments to the fit of the denture or color of the teeth before sending the mock-ups back to the lab for final production. It’s important to note that your absolute honesty is needed as your feedback shapes the final dentures you will receive.

After the final changes are made to the mock-up, the lab will custom build your dentures. After we receive the final design, your last fitting session will be to make small adjustments for comfort, bite, or fit which are all made in-house by our team.

At Whiting Dental Center, we are dedicated to providing best-in-class dental services such as dentures to ensure your oral hygiene and smile are the best they can be.
